This year at the North American International Auto Show, several Looking Glass displays were used to create a series of interactive & holographic displays to enhance the experience at the INFINITI booth.

Visionaries 777, the creative minds behind INFINITI Hologram Experiences, paired Looking Glasses with Leap Motion hand tracking to present NAIAS attendees with four different avenues to explore a futuristic car model designed by INFINITI.

Attendees could see themselves digitized as holograms sitting in the driver's seat of an INFINITI legacy vehicle, explore the spacious & lounge-like interior of the QX concept vehicle, and even look under the hood of the car simply by lifting a finger; revealing the world's first VC-Turbo (Variable Compression Turbo) engine.

INFINITI's desire was to showcase their brand identity in a way that it has not been seen before: futuristic, immersive, eye-catching and emotional.

The Looking Glass allowed us to display interactive and immersive visualizations of INFINITI cars and branding identity. Due to its holographic effect, it was very eye-catching but, more importantly increased the immersion and allowed the user to almost feel the car. With Leap Motion hand tracking, users could interact without the need for controllers, making interactions seamless and natural.

In large shows like NAIAS, it's important to be able to not only capture & retain the attention of potential customers, but also to give them something comprehensive and memorable that might eventually convert into a sale. Combining Unity3D, Avatar SDK, Leap Motion SDK, and the Looking Glass Factory's HoloPlay SDK for Unity, Visionaries 777 was able to engage attendees in a way that hadn't been seen before in an auto trade show.

[The] Looking Glass is an amazing new type of holographic display that allows the creation of more immersive and emotional experiences. The combo Looking Glass + Leap Motion controllers enables so many possibilities for creators to develop amazing experiences.
